NEW YORK CITY'S HOTTEST BOUTIQUE HOTELS

Remember when we went to New York?! Man, we loved it. 1 day was definitely not enough to explore such a rad city, but today we have a guest poster sharing their tips and ideas for where to stay when you take your trip to the Big Apple! Definitely putting these places on my hit-list for next time. Enjoy!

New York City is America’s stylish center. Spend the night at one of these design-centric spots, and get a taste of the Big Apple’s flair.

The James

Location: Nestled between SoHo and TriBeCa, this so-chic spot is the perfect starting point for explorations of the nearby restaurants, galleries and cutting-edge boutiques.

Perks: The James is known for its tranquil spa, lush garden and too-cool rooftop pool. Rub shoulders with the trendy set at the James Club, and then enjoy gourmet room service from the comfort of your expertly designed room.

Why We Love It: The suites are spacious, the atmosphere is luxurious, and the vibe is distinctly creative. Traveling artists, musicians and filmmakers often use this spot as their NYC home base, and the bevy of modern amenities make it easy to see why.

The Library Hotel

Location: Midtown is hotbed of tourist activity, and this Madison Avenue hotel puts you mere minutes from the action. Book your trip with
AmericanExpress travel, and get ready to see can’t-miss landmarks like the New York Public Library, Times Square and Rockefeller Center.

Perks: The Library takes conceptual design to an entirely new level. Decked out in modern library decor, this spot boasts a reading room with more than 6,000 titles. Plus, the entire property is organized according to the Dewey Decimal System, and each room is inspired by a category of books.

Why We Love It: The concept is enough to lure any design-loving traveler, but we’re especially fond of little extras like the turn-down service, cocktail events and laid-back Bookmarks Lounge.

Ace Hotel

Location: Situated near the Theater District, the beyond trendy Ace Hotel is among the most centrally located properties in the city.

Perks: This hotel is the definition of hip. Not only does each room feature unique details and original pieces by widely renowned artists, but the hotel’s lobby also hosts live DJs spinning records into the wee hours.

Why We Love It: The scene is effortlessly cool, and the staff is seriously friendly. Plus, you never have to sacrifice creature comforts for high style; you’ll get access to first-class amenities like free Wi-Fi, delicious room service and pet-friendly accommodations.

NoMad Hotel

Location: NoMad may be located just a stone’s throw from the Ace, but this opulent spot feels worlds away. Reserve a room here to get acquainted with the burgeoning North of Madison Square neighborhood.

Perks: Though the incredibly luxurious rooms are NoMad’s primary benefit — Hotel Costes mastermind Jacques Garcia designed the interiors — details like Michelin-starred chefs and an on-site outpost of Paris’ celebrated Maison Kitsune boutique give the spot some extra cred.

Why We Love It: There’s so much to adore about this one-of-a-kind property, but we can’t get enough of the artfully designed rooms and Cote Bastide bath products.
